  • NCRC rep did not yet respond
  • Will CC NCRC rep and move forward on our own
  • Next steps:
    • Organize subcommittee w/ monthly meetings
    • Create a mailing list (currently only a discord channel)
    • Lead is needed:
      • Sarah proposed, Zach replacing once he’s up-to-speed
      • Dusty (lots of rescue experience) may be a key consultant

Newsletter

  • Alex K offered assistance in newsletter work
  • Upcoming meeting for data transfer coming up

Financial reimbursement

  • in progress, bank account transfer hasn’t been yet been completed

Treasurer report

  • 82 dues-paying members
  • 8646.23 in bank account EOY 2023
  • 8901.02 total as of March 6, 2024
    • 344 in cash
    • 310.62 in paypal

New Business

Western Regional

  • contact Eric to join the email list
  • registration will get launched end of March
  • Gauntlet ropes course
    • Some Oregon grotto members are a little hesitant
      • Eric, Drew, Ainsley, Sarah will go to Oregon grotto meeting to advocate for it (3/15)
    • some funding will need to be provided
      • at least $1k is needed ($1.2 – 1.5 for full reimbursement)
      • Rocky mountain regional may be at a similar time and can defray our costs
      • another event might try to snag them if we don’t act quickly enough

Rescue scholarship

  • specifically for rescue training (maybe first aid too)
    • only to dues-providing members
  • in memory of Lauren K
  • propose to allocate $200 per year from grotto funds
    • people can donate to fund privately, via grotto
  • will move forward developing a proposal
    • Megan has background in scholarships w/ VPI and may offer assistance
    • Eric previously wrote a scholarship thing previously, may use as reference

Cascade grotto swag

  • members may want to rep the grotto
  • also stuff we can offer to trip leaders as thanks
  • Megan does not have space to store this, so we need to figure out a storage solution
